Prairie Style home design taking shape

Bob Bouril and his design team have put the finishing touches on the exterior design for a new home in a rural southern Wisconsin setting. The clients desired contemporary architecture with an appreciation of indigenous design. They decided on a distinctly prairie style look with contemporary flourishes for their new home on the original family homestead.

The design features low profile roof forms to harmonize with the rural countryside, an abundance of glass to take advantage of the views, and an upper clerestory window level for natural light. The home exterior will use stone, stucco and cedar siding. The next phase of the process will involve interior design and creation of final construction drawings. Construction is anticipated in the spring of 2010.
