Greenway Center Master Plan

Greenway Center – Middleton, WI

This sixty-four acre development was recently acquired by a new development company with a vision of both serving the existing business needs and developing a new master plan to increase the urban density and minimize urban sprawl.

The updated master plan was presented to the City of Middleton as the first of the new buildings were being planned. The first major office building and the first mixed-use office / retail building have been completed as part of the update to the Greenway Office Park Development. These first construction projects are the beginning of a doubling of the total developed area.

The overall redevelopment intent is to move the planning for the existing park from a traditional office building surrounded by surrounding rings of surface parking and green areas to an integrated design model for the development.

New development goals include:

  • Screened parking by moving buildings closer to the street to create a traditional urban edge
  • Structured parking shared between multiple buildings to reduce the total surface parking and create diversity between various users
  • Buildings that allow for both retail and office uses to promote pedestrian circulation
