Pediatric Eye and Eye Research Clinic

15,000 Square Feet Expansion/Remodeling

Working with the support of The Lion’s Club helped the UW Hospital and Clinics Department of Ophthalmology to greatly expand both its pediatric care and adult eye research areas. The concept of providing separate adult and pediatric patient reception areas, placed close together with a large glass divider, allows for a larger, more comfortable waiting area while allowing the staff an efficient workspace flow between the various services.

In addition to providing 22 eye lanes on two floor levels, the needed support areas for staff and three new patient reception areas were developed. Specialized eye research lanes for both pediatric and adult patients provide the most current level of eye care.
